Our mission is to deliver inclusive, safe, and memorable journeys—across every season—with a strong focus on dignity, comfort, and accessibility.

We actively welcome guests with diverse access needs and are committed to providing services that are accommodating, respectful, and tailored. Our team is trained to assist with a variety of requirements, and we are happy to consult with you directly to ensure a seamless experience—whether that involves private alpine transfers or curated regional itineraries.

Fatigue or Cognitive Impairment Support

We understand that guests may have different needs related to cognitive or physical impairments.
- Documents available in Plain English for those with cognitive impairments (including guides, instructions, and general information)
- Quiet services – For guests who need a quieter journey, we offer private services, can recommend quieter travel periods and accommodate earlier journey departures to help reduce sensory overload.
- Family-friendly – We can be booked privately for one or multiple vehicles to ensure a more comfortable and less crowded experience.
- Itinerary adjustments – We are happy to make adjustments based on your needs, such as reducing wait times, offering additional breaks, or modifying schedules to accommodate fatigue-related or other accessibility requirements.

Families travelling with children

We understand that travelling with children can make for a different journey

- ISOFIX: Our vehicles are each fitted with 2x ISOFIX compatible seats for infant capsules and rear and forward-facing child safety seats.

- Child seat anchor points: Vehicles also have traditional anchor-point style fittings for guests travelling with child-seats that do not have ISOFIX

- Cabin space: Our vehicles have extra space for those items family’s need when travelling away from home (cots, prams, bassinets, car seats etc!) Thoughtful accessibility features (extra legroom, private and shared service options)

We’ve made it easier for guests to connect with us. Phone, WhatsApp and email– reach out for enquiries or to book

- Our online contact forms feature high-contrast boxes and clear submit buttons for better visibility.

- Our team are trained in disability awareness and inclusivity to ensure the best possible experience for guests.

- Plain English – We use clear, simple language to ensure our messages are easy to understand.

Assistance Animals

We offer an animal-friendly environment so our guests along with their service animal, can enjoy a comfortable experience.

- Shade and water
– A safe space with shade and fresh water is available for service animals.

- Designated stops – We support extra stops for service animals to stretch their legs and go to the toiletBowls, bedding, and other necessary items can be provided 

- Animal-friendly business – At Double Black, we understand that your service animals are vital to your overall experience. Please let us know if you have any specific needs for your service animal and we’ll our best to accommodate.

Our fleet

Our vehicle fleet have been designed with guest safety and comfort in mind. 

- Glow Strips on Steps: Enhanced visibility for passengers when entering or exiting the vehicle, especially in low-light conditions. 

- Handrails: Installed at key locations for added stability and support to board, disembark, or move around inside the vehicle. Lighted Steps: Improves safety by illuminating steps, reducing the risk of trips or falls. 

- Handrails on Seats: Offers additional support for guests when making their way to their seats. 

- Tray tables and seat nets: Convenient for guests, offering a stable surface/storage location for food, drinks, or personal items.

- Cabin lighting: Provides adequate illumination throughout the interior of the vehicle as needed.

Route Planning

We take extra care in planning accessible routes for our guests.
- Accessible Toilet Facilities – Stops along the way feature accessible restroom facilities.
- Accessible venues – We ensure that meal venues are wheelchair accessible and welcoming for all guests.
- Step-Free Sightseeing – We plan sightseeing and photo opportunities that are free of steps, ensuring everyone can enjoy the views.
